Job Summary

 

Business Strategy & Operations Department is looking for a highly motivated and self-starting member to join this dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with trade regulations, coordinating logistics, managing documentation, and supporting cross-border transactions. This role requires a solid understanding of trade laws, customs procedures, and multinational markets.

 

The candidate will have opportunities to demonstrate analytical, problem solving, logical thinking and communication skill sets.

 

There will be development opportunities to widen knowledge and skills through classroom training and on the job training within the department.

 

Major roles & responsibilities:

 

  1. Oversee and coordinate with third-party documentation vendors, including freight forwarders, trade documentation service providers, and insurance companies
  2. Monitor vendor performance, ensure timely delivery of documentation, and escalate issues as necessary.
  3. Analyze trade data to identify trends, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
  4. Act as the main point of contact between internal teams (logistics, finance, legal) and documentation vendors to ensure smooth information flow.
  5. Serve as the primary business owner of the Trade Systems, accountable for its functionality, performance, and alignment with organizational goals.
  6. Collaborate with IT, compliance, operations, and business users to ensure system requirements are met, and enhancements are implemented effectively.
  7. Define and maintain system governance, including user access, data integrity, compliance, and change control processes.
  8. Develop and maintain SOPs

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in international trade, import/export operations, or trade compliance is an advantage. Fresh Graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • This is a contract role of at least 1 year. Upon successful completion, the role is open for possibility to convert to permenant full-time or extension.
  • Strong understanding of customs regulations, Incoterms, HS codes, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of trade finance instruments (LCs, B/Ls, etc.).
  • Knowledge of digitalization and automation of trade documentation processes, ensuring secure and efficient document handling.
