About the role

Your primary role as Senior Specialist in this Luxury Automotive brand will that of a Comms, PR & Events function. In this pivotal role, you will manage the brand’s external communications across the region, working with local teams to strengthen our brand reputation,
drive the brand’s business priorities/direction and to mitigate external risks.

Responsibilities mainly include Brand Communications and Public Relations. Scope will cover 8 regional markets in Asia, frequent communication with Japan and occasional outreach to other regions. You will also be working cross-functionally with various teams from marketing, operations and digital.

  1. Develop and lead complex, high-impact marketing, PR and communication strategies.
  2. Own end-to-end creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns and PR programmes, aligning with main project requirements
  3. Act as the primary regional partner for local market distributors, providing them with the toolkits, assets, and strategic guidance needed to facilitate local campaigns execution
  4. Direct external agency’s creative, PR, and partners, holding them accountable to strict deliverables, timelines, and budget constraints.
  5. Liaise with various stakeholders to facilitate participation and manage narrative in global media events
  6. Build robust media relationships across the region to pitch stories, while writing brand-forward corporate/product communication materials, press releases, spokesperson briefings, and crisis Q&A sets.
  7. Collate and analyze post- activity report, monitor SOV and media coverage
  8. Utilize deep analytical expertise to audit campaign/activity metrics, translate data into actionable insights, and maximize marketing spend efficiency.

 

Secondary role will include coordination with HQ and other functions on related communications

  1. Support to develop, implement, oversee and manage internal communications efforts
  2. Represent the region’s voice in global meetings
  3. Planning and execution of customer and leadership events (Ad Hoc)

 

Requirements for the role

  • 5 years of working experience in Automotive industry or Marketing agencies, Public Relations, or Communications. (Regional exposure is a bonus)
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills in English (compulsory), other Asian language and Japanese (bonus).
  • Able to translate difficult and complex topics into sound bites and newsworthy stories for media pick-up.
  • Passionate in automotive products and/or knowledgeable with technical language
  • Can effectively manage simultaneous projects across multiple stakeholders (headquarter, distributors & vendors): takes initiative and ownership to ensure quality results delivered on time and on budget (or below).
  • Event management skills to coordinate media tours and press conferences.
  • Detail oriented, comfortable with numbers and capable to analyse data for management reporting
  • Self-starter and resourceful to obtain information from various internal and external sources.
  • Able to articulate issues and propose relevant solutions
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Driver’s license will be an added advantage.
  • Maintaining and updating budget on assigned projects, with department overview.
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driving license.
  • Hybrid work arrangements available and some travel is expected.
